Florida has more golf courses than any other state – more than 1,055! The Fort Myers, Sanibel and Captiva area is home to more than 130 public and private golf courses, and more than 90 of them are located in Lee County’s Fort Myers area!
1. Fort Myers Country Club
Located on historic palm tree lined McGregor Boulevard in the City of Fort Myers. Endearingly named “The Fort” by local residents, the beloved course opened for play in 1917. Designed in 1916 by the great Donald Ross, it is one of the oldest golf facilities on the west coast of Florida.
2. Herons Glen Championship Golf & Country Club
The Golf Club at Herons Glen is highlighted by an 18-hole championship course designed by Ron Garl in 1991 and redesigned in 2006 by Gordon Lewis that plays to golfers of all levels. Six sets of tees feature total yardages from 4,225 to 6,468 yards.
3. Streamsong Golf Resort
Easily accessible, just a 90-minute drive from the Orlando airport and a 60-minute drive from the one in Tampa. This is one of those golf destinations worth going out of your way for, for sure. With two courses to choose from, you'll probably want to try and play both. The signature hole is the 16th, a picturesque 208-yard par 3.
4. Tiburón Golf Club
Tiburon Golf Course sits on 800 acres of Florida’s native topography which offers some stunning natural beauty with tall pines with draping Spanish moss, swaying palm trees, a variety of colorful native fauna, lakes and wetland. Tiburón's main attractions are its two golf courses -- The Gold and The Black, designed by golf legend Greg Norman. Tiburón golfers enjoy unique stacked sod wall bunkers, coquina shell waste bunkers and the absence of conventional rough.
5. Calusa Pines Golf Club
Ranked in Golf Digest's Top 100 for 2017-18, Calusa Pines offers exceptional views and inspired play. Here's how the magazine intro'd the course: "Gary Chensoff, a Chicago venture capitalist, survived a rare form of cancer despite long odds, and his recovery strongly influenced how Calusa Pines was designed and built. Chensoff decided to gamble, instructing Hurdzan-Fry to design the most unique course in south Florida despite a dead-flat site. They responded by piling up fill from ponds to form ridge lines up to 58 feet, then planted them with mature oaks, pines and sabal palms.
6. Lely Resort Golf & Country Club
Home to 54 holes of spectacular golf designed by three of golf’s most legendary names -- Robert Trent Jones, Sr., Gary Player and Lee Trevino. Abundant water and swaying palm trees frame undulating fairways and pristine greens, creating a serene and stunning atmosphere.
7. Forest Glen Golf & Country Club
Ranked #1 in the country in 2013 by GolfNow, Forest Glen's fairways are a carpet of Sea Isle Supreme Paspalum grass, unique because of its dark-green color, high density and limited need for water, fertilizers and pesticides stretches from tee to green. Built on 630 acres and just a 15 minute drive to the gulf beaches and downtown Naples, makes this course quick and easy for residents to access the best that Naples has to offer. Marco Island's beaches are only a 15 minute drive.
8. Eagle Lakes Golf Club
This course will provide casual players with a one-of-a-kind Everglades golf experience. Abundant wildlife, including a pair of American Bald Eagles, will accompany you as you make your way around the track.
9. Hibiscus Golf Club
Built in 1969, this splendidly conditioned layout is one of the few courses in the Naples area totally open to the public. Wide fairways, bunkered greens and numerous lakes and streams make each hole a new challenge.
10. Marriott Golf Club at Marco

12. Arrowhead Golf Course
Arrowhead Golf Course at Heritage Greens features manicured greens and tees, sculpted fairways and well-placed bunkers. Course highlights include four sets of tees which accommodate all skill levels.
13. Links of Naples
This 18 hole, par 61 challenging layout measures 4005 yards and offers several par 4 holes over 300 yards in length. Well bunkered, elevated greens, continuous mounding and multiple tees make this layout challenging and fun for all golfers. The course is unique in that it features stadium lighting for night and evening golf games.
14. Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club
This spectacular resort was built alongside the Golf of Mexico´s coastline. Some of the oldest trees in the area are scattered throughout this course. The generous fairways are tree-lined, the undulating greens are medium size and lakes come into play on nine holes.
15. Quality Inn Golf and Country Club
