Sin City is where the fun never ends. And that should also be on the golf course even if you are just starting out. Don't worry, whether you are renting your clubs or packing them, here are five courses that won't disappoint for the beginner golf in the Las Vegas area.
Black Mountain Golf and Country Club
Located less than half an hour from the Vegas strip, Black Mountain Golf rests at the base of the mountains in the Mojave Desert. It is one of the oldest golf courses in Las Vegas and the original 18 holes feature wide, rolling fairways. Mix and match the 3 nines to perfectly test yourself. It is also one of the most affordable golf experiences in the Las Vegas Valley.

Green Fee: Contact for more information
While this Dye Designs course may look tight, the fairways are lush. The forward tees will ease some of the pressure and the tree-lined fairways lend a soothing feel to the surroundings. You'll also find the Pete Dye-trademark railroad ties that frame the traps.
3415 E Bonanza Road
Las Vegas, Nevada 89101
(702) 388-4400
Sun Mountain Course at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
All three 18-hole Pete Dye designs offer something for every golfer, but the Sun Mountain course is viewed as the most tame. The forward tees offer a comfortable distance while still allowing you to enjoy the sights and sounds of the resort: wide open spaces and silence occasionally interrupted by the sounds of wildlife. The wide fairways and greens that roll true will give you the confidence boost you need.
10325 Nu-Wav Kaiv Boulevard
Las Vegas, Nevada 89124
(800) 711-2833, (702) 658-1400
This Ted Robinson design allows players to pick a plan of attack to suit their game, no matter the tees you choose. You'll also find some beautiful scenics, including the beautiful hole number three. Though tough, try to avoid the bunkers and water.
20 Rhodes Ranch Parkway
Las Vegas, Nevada 89113
(702) 740-4114
This is the perfect spot for both the first-timer or the experienced player. Sienna provides a challenge through doglegs and hazards without intimidating the less experienced golfer. Overall, it is a straightforward course that is fun to play.
